Criteria key

Shame on those who have criticised this immense and irreversible movement towards the respect of nature and of your health, disgrace on the lobbying companions working for the powerful interests of those who pollute our planet! Of course, there are some cases of abuse, but these are not perpetrated by those who, to the detriment of making a quick profit, are prepared to take all risks in the name of the idea they have conceived of their profession and of themselves.

Sensible wine production, natural wines, organic, biodynamic: these are a host of more or less radical approaches which have the good taste of respecting your health whilst at the same time preserving the environment. This immense and laudable effort is now supported by a whole generation of wine growers who have resolutely turned their back on the easiest way of doing things. Let us raise our glass to them, and tell them how much we adore them and that regularly we shall showcase their talent on the Nouvelles Valeurs website.

The Réméjeanne estate converted to Organic Agriculture in 2007 and is consequently in its third year of conversion.

This means that the AB Label (Organic Agriculture) shall be granted next year, as it is necessary to wait three years to allow for purification of the land from the consequences of endless years of growth without respect.

Conversion is the correct word since these courageous wine growers truly require faith or, for those who love to transcend themselves without necessarily having the taste for this, they have to have the guts to aim for quality produce to the detriment of yield.

Approach: re-conversion for 3 years to organic wine production.

Characteristics:  use of products which do not contain any synthetic chemical molecules, use of natural origin raw materials (copper, sulphur, insecticides from vegetal origin), observation and respect of the ecosystem, promoting natural selection between species, supply of compost, labour, manual harvesting and sorting, low yield. Exhibition on terraces with a view overlooking the Mont Ventoux and the Rhône Valley. Average altitude of hills (200 to 280m).

Fan’s corner:

* originating from diverse land, made up of loess, clay and chalky sandstone.
